BEST TREK ROUTES TO KHEERGANGA:
#1 FROM KALGA VILLAGE:
The Barshaini Bridge serves as a junction point. From the bridge, take a right and hike up to Kalga Village. This path is surrounded by dense forest and is steep and undulating. This route takes a little longer, but it provides a more peaceful and serene atmosphere. Because this route is not well-known, it is best to travel with a local tour guide.
#2 FROM NAKTHAN VILLAGE:
Take the left turn from the Barshaini Bridge that leads to the Nakthan Village. It is the most popular and simplest route. This route takes about 3-4 hours to reach Kheerganga, depending on your walking speed. This is a well-marked path that follows the Parvati River’s left bank.
#3 FROM TOSH VILLAGE:
Tosh Village is another trekking path to Kheerganga. The Kheerganga trek from Tosh is approximately 7 kilometers long. This route is mostly used by tourists visiting Tosh. This route intersects with the second near Nakthan Village.
BEST ITINERARY TO KASOL KHEERGANGA TREK (3 Days / 2 Nights)
Day 1: Kasol to Chalal – 3 km (3-4 hours)
Arrive at Kasol, and after freshen up make a short hike to Chalal, cross the suspension bridge over the Parvati River. In the evening sit near the Parvati River and enjoy a bonfire with light music, followed by dinner at the campsite.
Day 2: Kasol to Kheerganga – 12km (6-7 hours)
Book a cab to Barshaini village, popularly known for the confluence point of the Tosh and Parvati River. Start hiking along the gushing river and you’ll reach Kheerganga, after a few more km into the trek. Ease yourself taking a refreshing dip in the hot spring and enjoy a night of camping & bonfire at 9,700 ft.
Day 3: Kheerganga to Kasol
Trek: 12 Km (5-6 hours)
Start your hike early, back to Barshaini. Upon reaching Barshaini, take a cab back to Kasol, ending the trip.
