What is Fostac?

Fostac which is also known as the Food Safety Training and Certification, FoSTaC is targeted to be an initiative of the current Food Safety and Standard Authority of India or FSSAI.

  • The students must pursue the final year of the undergraduate courses in nutrition, hospitality, food science, or some other allied fields.
  • Criteria for the advanced level courses:
  • You have to be a graduate in the science category and should play a supervisory role with a minimum of one year’s experience in the said sector.
  • It is also a perfect course module for anyone, who has graduated in any non-science discipline and has two years of experience in a supervisory role related to the relevant food sector.
  • It is also a perfect course module for any student pursuing the final under graduation year in hospitality, nutrition, food sciences, or other allied fields.

Criteria for special courses:

  • Any science graduate in a supervisory role with 1 year of experience can take an active part in the special courses of FoSTaC training.
  • It is also a great platform for any non-science graduate with 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the chosen sector.

The trainees need to follow the application process in order to be active members of the FoSTaC course module. It is only after passing the exams that they will get proper food processing job prospects to follow.

  • First, you have to visit the official website of FoSTaC.
  • Then click on the “register” button available on the homepage.
  • Fill in the trainee application form with proper details and then click on the “submit” button.
  • The screen will display your FoSTaC ID name and password, used for logging into the FoSTaC website.
